What’s a Booster? Am I a Booster?
If your child is in the marching band, you are an Active Booster Member (with voting rights).
We meet monthly (usually the first Wed. of the month September - June). This is when we plan events, make decisions about funds, and get information from the band director about competitions and practices. Your attendance is important!
What Do We Do?
Fundraise! Our annual budget includes the support of the marching band program in a number of ways, and we strive to minimize the out-of-pocket costs for families.
Move band equipment and props on and off the field at every home football game and marching band competition, aka Pit Crew.
RUN the Home competition (parking, tickets, concessions, hospitality, etc.). This event is not only our main annual fundraiser, but it is also an opportunity to show hospitality to other marching bands. Students can earn volunteer hours for helping out as well.
Help build sets over the summer.
Help create a positive and welcoming environment for students and families.
Support band operations.
How do I help?
Attend monthly meetings. This is when we make our plans. You input and ideas are invaluable to making things run smoothly for the band - our kids!
Sign up for Pit Crew and help at as many football games and competitions as you can.
Sign up to help at the Home competition- Festival of Bands. Whether you’re a natural leader or a worker bee, we need lots of volunteers to help run this event.
Are you good with social media or technology? Let us know! We always need help spreading the word.
Plan and/or Lead a fundraiser.
Donate snacks and water for competitions.
Volunteer your time at fundraising events.
Volunteer your time to serve food to the band before home football games on Fridays.
