Marching band is a class at the high school. 9th - 12th graders may join the marching band and 8th -12th graders may join the color guard. Collectively, we refer to the group as the marching band or just the band. Band is a unique, very accepting, and supportive environment. Rehearsals are where the band works hard. Games and competitions are where they get to show off that hard work and have FUN.
Students make all of the summer practices, and especially Band Camp. Band Camp is not only where the sections really bond, but it’s also where we learn the bulk of the show.
Be ready to WORK when practice starts. Social hour isn’t on the field, but on breaks and in the stands.
